抛物线

A song that never fails to put me in a pensive mood.

Expectations

Do you know your limits? Now's a great time to get a better idea of what you can and cannot do, or else you will end up getting frustrated. Recently, you have been pushing yourself to stretch and grow, but if you continue on this aggressive path you will get overwhelmed. To prevent that, you have to take care of yourself. It's time to act more conservatively and slow down. Take a step back from life -- you won't miss out on a thing.

Sigh. Why does this horoscope seem spot-on? The expectations from all around have left me feeling drained and claustrophobic this weekend - him, parents, brother, office, friends... Some are admittedly self-imposed as a result of my overzealous guilt complex, others are, well, part of the multiple roles I've had to play.

I just want a day when I can be accountable only to myself.

Setting Store for Horoscopes

I'm scared of what lies ahead for this month.

At the difficult full moon March 10, you may be forced to look at a relationship in a new way and see certain truths you might prefer not to see. Or, it may be someone's lack of vision that makes you feel held back or hampered in perusing a dream dear to you. Or, it may be your partner's lack of ethics that you find so troubling. Depending on what you learn, you may sever a relationship this month, or if you feel there is hope for a future together, you may open talks to clear the air.

I know that I'm setting store for these predictions, insomuch as they only mean something if I choose to believe and act upon them. But it's eerily coincidental how I was really planning to bring up several important issues during my birthday, and hoping that my special day would grant me some immunity from the possible backlash of poking into such a touchy topic.

Pampering myself

I was slightly disappointed tonight, as I was hoping to meet him for dinner. But he had sprained his ankle and needed to stay home. Without anywhere really to head off to, I did a late night at work, in an attempt to pick up the fallen pieces this busy week.

At 8.45pm as I packed up to return home, an unsettled feeling still lingered. I felt unfulfilled for the day, and somewhat in need of an emotional booster. Something to make me happy.

The result: a detour to enjoy Red Mango ice-cream, which I have been craving for a while. I'm glad I made the cathartic side trip, despite how tired I was.

We don't always get what we want

Then why do people not treasure what they have?
Life can be really heartbreaking. It's really difficult to be bright and shiny.
I'm jealous of the people with hearts that are whole. Flawless. Shiny and beautiful.
But my friends, I pray that your hearts can forever be the above. Be happy and nothing else.
