Third Time Lucky?

You know how people say bad things happen in threes?

Well, we rented a car to tour around Phuket, since we were located in godforsaken Mai Khao Beach. Instead of heading to the conventional Patong for dinner on Saturday, we decided to try Karon instead. Yay loads of marked lots by the typically jam-packed streets of Phuket! So we parked and strolled off a side alley. Not finding any particularly enticing sustenance, we returned to the main road where our Honda City was.

Crap! (Or lucky depending on the way you looked at it) He spotted a tight-shirted traffic policeman beginning to issue a summons. Our front tyre was already clamped with a rudimentary chain and lock.

Apparently, we were only allowed to park on one side of the road and not the other. And the correct side to park alternates on a daily basis. Illogical I know, especially given the marked lots...

But thankfully, our car was unclamped so we could at least drive down to the police station to pay the fine and get his driving licence back.

That was Incident One.

Last night, I worked late and hence hailed a cab to his office to collect "the Batmobile" :) The silly taxi driver got into a minor accident!! What an idiot, for attempting to outrun a van and squeeze past a construction barricade at the same time.

That was Incident Two.

I wonder when the third traffic-related incident will occur?

P.s. I don't usually capitalize on dismal events, but 4D is definitely in order this time round. Hah.
